Dear Colleagues

I hereby invite you to the 107. Spring Assembly 2021 of the Swiss Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology Head & Neck Surgery SSORL, which takes place from 17-18 June 2021. After last year's good experience at the Annual Meeting and in view of the still uncertain situation regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, this year's Spring Assembly will also be held in virtual form from Lausanne on the EPFL site.

The two-day program can be followed online via livestream and will be conducted in English for the keynote lectures. It gives you the opportunity to focus intensively on the main congress theme "Innovation and future development in ORL".

The scientific committee, which we thank very much for its commitment, has succeeded in inviting renowned experts from various fields. The topics that will be discussed are diverse and include tissue regeneration, genetics, implantology and artificial intelligence. This will be an opportunity to showcase the immense potential of collaboration between engineers and doctors, with some great success stories expected. The program will be complemented by free communications in addition to the keynote lectures. For the first time we will also have a Poster-Flash, where all posters can be explored not only visually but also with audio commentaries. In addition to that, three sponsored lectures will be organized by Inspire Medical Systems, Sophia Genetics and Sanofi Genzyme.

During both days, you will have the opportunity to visit the virtual industry stands and find out about the latest developments. Explore the virtual platform and take the opportunity to get in touch directly with exhibitors, speakers or other participants by using the interactive chat function.

Although the congress will take place virtually, I look forward to sharing these two conference days with you. I am convinced that they will certainly be exciting and enriching.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you in virtual form and in large numbers!

Prof. Philippe Pasche, MD
President SSORL
